Trust and evidence

Research methodology

The directory aims to make the status of every important claim visible. A supplier source can establish what the supplier publishes; it does not amount to hands-on testing or independent certification.

Which products are included

A product must have an active official site and plausible relevance to UK church administration, ministry or operations. The directory currently contains 51 entries and is not a market-wide shortlist.

How facts are researched

  1. Prefer official product, pricing, support and policy pages.
  2. Record the source URL, checked date and fields it supports.
  3. Keep structured facts separate from directory assessment.
  4. Use “Not confirmed” when the evidence does not establish an answer.
  5. Do not infer compliance from general marketing language.

Verification statuses

Verified
The important fields in scope have strong, current evidence and have received editorial review. None of the foundation listings currently uses this status.
Partially verified
Several useful fields have current first-party sources, but material unknowns or unreviewed areas remain.
Needs review
Evidence is old, incomplete or awaiting editorial review. Treat the entry as a lead for further research.

Review cycle

The automated stale check currently flags entries more than 180 days after their last checked date. A recent date does not mean every product detail is complete.

Corrections

Corrections will be assessed on evidence, regardless of commercial status. No public correction route is currently configured, so the directory is not ready for public launch until a responsible publisher and contact route are confirmed.

Commercial independence

Affiliate links are used only where a relationship is confirmed and disclosed beside the relevant link. They must not guarantee positive coverage or ranking. Any sponsored listing must be clearly labelled and is held to the same research and editorial standards.

How AI is used

AI may help organise research, identify missing fields and draft copy. It is not treated as a source of product facts. A human remains responsible for checking evidence and approving published material.
